Remove a package when it is no longer part of your hosting catalogue. This is a housekeeping action on the reusable plan definition, so first make sure no account or automation still depends on it.

Prepare for the change
Record the package settings before deletion. WHM does not provide a package recycle bin. Identify accounts using the package and check any WHMCS product or provisioning configuration that references its exact name.
01 Delete an unused WHM package
- Open List Accounts and review the package assigned to the relevant customers. If a customer must move, choose a suitable replacement and use the supported account upgrade or downgrade workflow.
- Confirm the replacement meets current usage and features. Avoid reducing storage or mail allowances without reviewing the customer impact.
- Open Packages > Delete a Package. Select the exact unused package and review the reseller prefix to avoid a similarly named plan.
- Select Delete and wait for confirmation. WHM prevents deletion of a package currently used by an account.
- Remove or update stale package references in your sales and provisioning setup so the next order is not sent with a nonexistent package name.
How do I confirm an unused package was removed?
Reopen the package list and confirm that only the intended package is gone. Existing customer accounts should still appear with their intended replacement plans. If possible, validate a future order configuration using a controlled test.
If the change does not work
If deletion is refused because an account still uses the package, find and reassign that account rather than deleting files on the server. If you removed the wrong unused package, recreate it from the recorded definition. Reusing its name is not a substitute for checking all of its settings.
