Enabling or disabling cPanel features through WHM

Adjust a feature list when customers need access to a particular cPanel tool. The change can affect every account assigned to that list, so identify the intended audience before editing it.

Check access and requirements

Find the affected account package and its feature list. If only one customer needs a different set of tools, create a separate list and suitable package or account configuration rather than changing a list shared by unrelated customers.

01 Enable or disable cPanel features through WHM

  1. Open Packages > Feature Manager, choose the relevant ordinary feature list and select its edit action.
  2. Record the current selection for the feature you are changing. In an ordinary list, a selected checkbox enables access and a cleared checkbox removes it.
  3. Change only the required feature and save. Review related dependencies, such as the database tool and database-management interface, so the resulting workflow remains useful.
  4. Confirm that the customer account actually uses this list through its assigned package or account settings.
  5. Open that customer cPanel session and test the resulting access. A fresh session can help distinguish a cached interface from the saved configuration.

How do I check which cPanel features users can access?

Confirm the intended tool is available or absent and that related customer tasks still work. Disabling access to a management screen is not proof that its existing websites, databases or mailboxes have been deleted.

Resolve setup problems

If the feature remains unavailable, check whether it is disabled globally, unsupported on that server or dependent on an uninstalled service. Do not edit the special disabled list to solve an individual account issue. Restore the recorded selection if the change affects other customers unexpectedly.
