The account bandwidth allowance is a monthly data-transfer limit. It is different from network connection speed, and increasing it will not by itself fix a slow application or an overloaded website.

Prepare for the change
Check the account username, current monthly usage and the allowance included in its plan. Decide whether this is a temporary individual adjustment or a permanent package change. Make sure the new allowance fits your reseller allocation.
01 Change an account bandwidth allowance in WHM
- Open Account Functions > Limit Bandwidth Usage.
- Select the intended domain or username and open its limit form. Compare the selected account with the customer order before continuing.
- Enter the desired allowance in the displayed units. Do not confuse gigabytes in a sales description with megabytes in a form.
- Save the change and read the completion message. Keep a record of the previous allowance and any date when a temporary exception should end.
- Review the account package and billing arrangement separately if this is a permanent upgrade. A manual override should not silently conflict with the plan the customer has purchased.
How do I check the new bandwidth allowance?
Reopen the account and confirm the saved allowance. If the account exceeded its earlier transfer limit, verify whether its bandwidth-exceeded restriction has cleared through the appropriate WHM workflow. A general account suspension is a different state.
If the change does not work
If the website remains restricted, identify whether the cause is bandwidth, account suspension, disk quota or another service issue. Do not repeatedly raise limits without checking usage. Unexpected transfer can come from large downloads, crawlers or abuse, so investigate access logs before choosing a lasting change.
