Cancelling a PayPal automatic payment and checking the service separately

Cancelling a PayPal automatic payment withdraws that payment authority. It does not automatically cancel your Nabtech hosting, domain or other service, and it does not automatically refund a payment already completed. Handle the service request and payment agreement as separate steps.

01 Confirm the agreement you intend to stop

  1. Review the Nabtech service and any open invoice. If you intend to end the service, use its current cancellation process under the applicable terms.
  2. Sign in directly to PayPal and open the automatic-payments area.
  3. Select the merchant agreement that matches the service. Compare its reference and recent payments before acting.
  4. Use PayPal's cancellation action and read the confirmation. Save a record of the resulting status.
  5. Return to us and confirm that the service has the intended status or another payment method if it should remain active.

02 Example: stop PayPal automation while keeping hosting active

You want future hosting invoices paid through another method displayed in the client area, while the website remains hosted with us. Treat the payment instruction and the hosting service as separate records.

  1. Find the PayPal agreement linked to the service and compare its reference with your renewal history.
  2. Cancel that agreement in PayPal and save its confirmation.
  3. Return to the existing Nabtech service. Check its next invoice and due date, then arrange the alternative payment using an offered method.
  4. Record who will check the next renewal and confirm that its invoice becomes Paid.

Expected result: the PayPal authority is stopped and the hosting service continues under the new payment arrangement. The service itself should not be cancelled when your intention is only to change how you pay.

What if a payment was already processed?

Check its transaction status and contact billing support with the invoice and transaction reference. Stopping future automatic payments does not reverse a completed charge. Any refund review follows the applicable service terms and payment process.

What if I only want to change the card?

Review the agreement's funding-method option first. Cancelling the entire agreement may be unnecessary, and a cancelled authority may need a new checkout approval if you later want automatic billing again.

03 Avoid an accidental lapse

If the service must continue, arrange the next invoice payment before its due date. Keep renewal reminders active and verify the next successful payment. Do not assume that removing one agreement causes another saved card or gateway to take over automatically.

For a business account, record who approved the cancellation and why, particularly when several services use the same merchant. This helps prevent a future administrator from mistaking an intentional payment change for a provider billing error.
