PayPal's general preferred card and the funding method for a merchant's automatic payment are separate settings. Change the one relevant to your goal. Updating your wallet preference alone does not necessarily move an existing Nabtech recurring payment to the new card.

01 Set a general preferred card
- Sign in to PayPal and open Wallet.
- Select the linked card you want to use for ordinary eligible payments.
- Choose Set as preferred and confirm the resulting preference.
- At your next checkout, still review the selected payment method and currency before paying.
02 Update a specific automatic payment
Open the automatic-payments section, select the relevant merchant and review the available payment-method controls. Choose a supported replacement and save it. Verify the agreement now shows the intended method. Available options can vary according to the account and agreement.
03 Check the next renewal
Compare the next Nabtech due date with the PayPal agreement and confirm that the replacement card is valid. Keep enough time for any issuer verification before a renewal is due. A preference change does not pay an already overdue invoice automatically unless the billing arrangement actually performs another attempt.
04 Example: replace an expiring card for one hosting agreement
Your old card is about to expire and the replacement is already linked in PayPal. Selecting the new card as the general preferred method is only the first check.
- Open the automatic-payment agreement associated with the hosting service.
- Use its available payment-method control to select the supported replacement.
- Save and confirm the agreement itself displays the intended funding method.
- Compare the next hosting invoice and due date, then confirm the next payment is recorded correctly.
Expected result: the specific renewal uses the reviewed agreement settings. Keep the old agreement reference so an unexpected charge can be reconciled without creating a duplicate subscription.
Why might PayPal still charge the old card?
Check whether the transaction was already initiated, whether another agreement exists and whether you changed the general preference instead of the agreement. Review PayPal's transaction details before concluding that Nabtech ignored the update.
When seeking help, provide invoice and non-secret agreement or transaction references. PayPal controls wallet funding selection, while we can review which payment was recorded against the service. Neither review requires you to disclose a PayPal password, full card number or one-time verification code.
