Edit an existing power timer when a maintenance window changes. Check both its time and action: moving a shutdown timer to a new time does not turn it into a restart or create a matching startup operation.

What you need before you begin
Identify the intended VPS and timer, confirm the panel timezone, and notify anyone following the old maintenance schedule. If the original execution time is very close, cancel the timer first where appropriate rather than relying on a last-second edit.
01 Edit a scheduled Virtualizor power action
- Open the selected VPS management page and its Self Shut Down or timer view.
- Compare each listed action and date to your maintenance record. Choose the edit control for the exact timer.
- Change the intended date, hour, minute or action. Review the meaning of graceful shutdown versus forced power-off before saving.
- Save the edit and return to the timer list. Verify that the updated entry is present and that an unintended duplicate has not been created.
- Review related timers, monitoring alerts and operator schedules. A separately scheduled Start may also need adjustment when moving a shutdown window.
How do I check the edited power-action schedule?
Reopen the entry and confirm the stored action and time. Check recent task history if the original time has already passed, since editing a timer cannot undo a power action that already executed.
Troubleshoot unexpected results
If the editor rejects a past time or an invalid value, correct the date and timezone before retrying. If you cannot determine whether the original operation ran, inspect the VPS console and uptime. Avoid creating replacement timers until you know whether the earlier entry remains active.
