Move a domain to another Nabtech client account

An internal domain move changes which your client account manages the domain. It is different from transferring the registration to another registrar or moving website files and mailboxes. Confirm the intended owner and recipient before starting.

01 Prepare the handover

Ask the recipient to create their own your client account if needed, and confirm the exact account email through a trusted channel. Decide who will manage renewal payments, registrant contact details, DNS and any separate hosting service after the move.

Record the current domain status, expiry and nameservers. A hosting service associated with the same domain may need its own transfer or migration. Do not assume it follows a domain-account move automatically.

02 Use the available internal-move workflow

  1. Sign in to the current owner's Nabtech account.
  2. Open Domains > My Domains and select the domain.
  3. If Push Domain is available, open it and enter the verified recipient account details.
  4. Review the destination and confirmation information before submitting.
  5. Complete the approval requested through the official account or email workflow before its displayed expiry.
  6. Confirm the final result in both the source and recipient accounts.

If the action is unavailable, open an authenticated support request from the current owner. Supply the domain and intended recipient account. Support may require additional ownership checks; another person's account identifier is not permission to move their domain.

What should both accounts verify after an internal domain move?

Check that the recipient can manage the domain, sees the correct expiry and understands renewal responsibility. Review registrant contact information through the appropriate separate workflow where an actual registrant change is intended.

Verify DNS and hosting after the move. An internal ownership request should not be treated as evidence that a website, mailbox or DNSSEC configuration was migrated.

03 Handle mistakes and suspicious requests

Do not approve a move you did not initiate or recognise. Contact support through the signed-in client area. If you selected the wrong recipient or approved by mistake, report it immediately with the domain and request reference; recovery depends on the actual completed state and verified authority.

Never share your account password with the recipient as a substitute for a proper transfer. Each owner should use their own account and authorised access.
