WHM’s List Accounts view helps identify the hosting account behind a domain before you change quotas, ownership or access. This is particularly useful when a reseller manages several customers with similar names.

What you need before you begin
Sign in with an authorised administrator or reseller identity. Visibility depends on your privileges and account ownership. Have the customer’s exact domain and service reference available.
01 Find the owner, package and resource usage of a WHM account
- Open List Accounts and search by domain or username. Select the relevant search mode to avoid confusing a partial match with the intended account.
- Compare the primary domain, username, owner, package, IP and contact information. Record the complete matching identity before opening an action.
- Review usage and quota fields together. An account near its allowance differs from one with an unknown package or an incorrect allocation.
- Expand the account’s action row only when needed. Opening the customer’s cPanel session is privileged access, so use it solely for the authorised task.
- If preparing a resource review, use the available CSV export and keep the file in a protected administrative location.
Confirm the expected result
You should have a clear mapping from the domain to its server account, owner and package. Cross-check the billing/service record separately before making commercial changes.
Troubleshoot unexpected results
If an addon domain is hard to locate, search the relevant account information or ask an administrator with broader visibility. A reseller’s empty search does not prove the domain is absent from the server. Do not create a second account merely because your current permissions hide the first.
Does the package name prove what the customer purchased?
No. It identifies the server-side configuration. Compare it with the authorised service record because billing products, custom exceptions and manual changes can differ.
