Premium DNS adds the allowances and management features shown for an eligible domain at checkout. Read the current offer carefully: availability, price, records, backups and optional features depend on the service configured for your account.

01 Compare the available offer
Open the domain or service's Premium DNS offer when one is shown. Compare the included record limit and backup history with your current allowance. The module can offer DNS change emails and supported Undo actions; Premium DNS Plus can also offer uptime checks with DNS failover and a DMARC aggregate-report reader. An installation may choose which of these features to sell.
Premium DNS changes DNS management. It does not automatically add web hosting resources, create mailboxes, protect application code or guarantee that a website never goes offline.
02 Order the correct service
- Choose the domain you want to upgrade and confirm it belongs to the intended client account.
- Review the current plan name, billing period, price and feature list.
- Check any nameserver instructions before ordering. A plan on the same DNS network may keep existing delegation; a differently configured offer may require a transition.
- Complete the order through the normal client-area checkout.
- Wait for the service to activate, then reopen DNS Manager and check the plan status and available features.
03 After activation
Your DNS zone must be associated with the active subscription and its package before paid features appear. If the order is still pending, check the invoice and provisioning status. Avoid placing duplicate orders because a tab has not appeared immediately.
Try one ordinary DNS change on a non-critical test record and confirm the expected history or notification behaviour. For monitoring, configure a real working backup service before enabling automatic failover. For DMARC reports, use a report you have actually received; the reader does not create reporting automatically.
What should I check before downgrading or cancelling Premium DNS?
When a Premium service ends, its extra features and allowances can change. Review the destination standard package, any nameserver transition and your current record usage before cancelling. Keep an export of the zone and confirm what will happen to retained backups. Existing DNS data and a successful move back to standard service are separate operational questions, so contact support when your domain exceeds the standard limits or uses a different DNS network.
