A mobile preview helps identify layout problems before visitors encounter them, but it should be followed by a real browser check. Test the page's important tasks as well as its appearance.

01 Choose representative test content
Use the final headings, images and button labels rather than short placeholders. Long product names, translated text and real form errors often reveal problems that a tidy demonstration layout hides.
List the main visitor actions for the page, such as opening navigation, comparing a plan, submitting a form or downloading a document. A page that looks attractive but prevents those actions is not ready to publish.
02 Review the draft
- Save the draft and use the editor's preview controls for narrower layouts.
- Inspect each section for horizontal overflow, clipped text, excessive spacing and images that crop away important details.
- Check the order of stacked columns and ensure headings still describe the following content.
- Open the preview in a browser and resize the window through several widths, rather than checking only one preset.
- Where practical, test on a real phone and use browser zoom or increased text size.
What should I test beyond a mobile preview screenshot?
Open menus, follow buttons and complete the relevant forms with test data. Check that on-screen keyboards do not hide essential controls and that error messages remain visible. Inspect fixed headers, cookie notices and floating chat controls for overlap.
Review image and video weight on a slower connection. Large decorative assets can delay the actual content even when the layout itself is responsive. Keep an accessible text alternative for essential information inside media.
03 Verify after publication
Check the public page while signed out, because administrator toolbars and preview-only styles can change the result. Purge relevant caches after fixing a problem and confirm the live version actually updated.
If a block overflows, identify the specific fixed width, unbroken text or embed responsible. Avoid shrinking all text or hiding whole sections as a quick workaround. Document the failing screen width and element when asking for help so the design can be corrected without damaging other layouts.
