Edit a package when a plan definition needs to change. Because multiple customers may use the same package, first establish whether you intend to change the shared plan or only one customer account.

What you need before you begin
Record the original limits and identify accounts using the package. Check actual usage before reducing disk, transfer or account limits. Review your billing product separately so future automated provisioning does not use an inconsistent definition.
01 Edit an existing WHM hosting package
- Open Packages > Edit a Package and select the exact package, including the reseller prefix where shown.
- Select Edit and change only the intended resources or settings. Keep a record of old and new values so you can reverse an accidental change.
- Review the feature list and theme as well as numeric limits. Changing a feature list can affect which tools customers see.
- Save the changes and read the completion message. Review the affected accounts rather than assuming every account-specific override has changed.
- If you need a different package name, create a replacement package and assign accounts through the supported upgrade or downgrade workflow. A package cannot be renamed in this form.
How do I check which accounts received the package change?
Open a representative account in WHM and cPanel and compare its current limits with the intended result. Check for an account already above a reduced allowance. Verify that applications and mail continue to work.
Troubleshoot unexpected results
If you meant to alter one customer, restore the shared package values and use the account-level change or a separate package. A greyed-out extension may be managed by the server administrator. Raising package limits does not override your reseller allocation or the server capacity.
