The WHMCS connector can offer customers a branded domain registration certificate containing provider-confirmed registration facts. It is a printable record with a verification code. It is separate from the TLS certificate that secures a website connection.
01 Enable and style the certificate
- Open the connector under System Settings > Domain Registrars.
- Enable Domain registration certificate.
- Choose Certificate design: Classic, Executive, Modern, Heritage or Minimal.
- Set Certificate colour to the intended hexadecimal brand colour. The designs retain a white paper background.
- Choose Certificate placement: a theme card, a separate styled card, a row in the SSL Certificates card or a button beside domain actions.
- Check your WHMCS company name and logo configuration, then preview the customer experience using an eligible owned domain.
02 Print and verify the result
The domain owner's page can show Domain Registration Certification with Print Certificate. The connector checks the relevant ownership and registrar conditions before exposing the action. The printed facts include the domain and the registration and expiry dates returned by the provider.
The issued certificate carries a sixteen-character verification code and a QR code. For an HTTPS WHMCS installation, the QR code can open the connector's own modules/registrars/MODULE_SLUG/verify.php page. That page asks the provider whether the recorded code is valid, withdrawn or not issued. Keep the generated slug unchanged and the verification route reachable.
Common questions
Does this certificate prove a website is secure?
No. It records domain registration facts. HTTPS security depends on the website's separately issued TLS certificate and configuration.
Can a customer print a certificate for another account's domain?
The printable action is limited by the connector's ownership checks. Do not weaken those checks to make a custom theme button work.
Why is the logo missing?
Check the configured WHMCS logo URL, whether the asset is reachable and the theme fallback used by the connector. Test the printed page as well as the on-screen card.
What if a previously issued certificate is withdrawn?
Use the verification result and recorded facts. A saved PDF does not override the provider's current verification status, and a registration certificate is not an independent determination of legal title.
