A Plesk service plan defines reusable subscription resources and permissions. A subscription can be customized and locked against plan synchronization without being suspended. Understand these states before pressing a synchronization control, because restoring plan values can remove an intentional customer exception.

Information to have ready
Use a reseller or administrator role permitted to manage the subscription and plan. Record current resources, permissions, add-ons and custom settings. Identify whether the business intent is to change one customer, update a shared plan or bring a customized subscription back into alignment.
01 Compare the subscription with its service plan
- Open the subscription and inspect its associated plan, add-ons and synchronization status.
- Compare the relevant current settings with the plan. A locked subscription is excluded from ordinary plan synchronization; an unsynced state can also mean the server cannot provide a planned feature.
- If the difference is intentional, retain the customization and document it, or model the recurring difference as an appropriate plan or add-on.
- If the customer should inherit the plan again, review the intended changes before using the available unlock-and-sync action. Check reduced limits against actual use.
- After synchronization, inspect the detailed result and test the affected functions. Keep a record of any setting that still differs because customer-managed permissions or server availability affect synchronization.
How do I verify the effective subscription limits?
Confirm the subscription has the intended limits and tools, not merely a clean status icon. Check PHP configuration, backup access or DNS permissions when those were part of the change. Verify unrelated subscriptions were not altered accidentally.
Troubleshoot unexpected results
For a synchronization failure, read which resource or feature could not be provisioned and correct that specific mismatch. Do not repeatedly force all subscriptions to match a plan. Some additional directives can be affected by synchronization even when their earlier customization did not visibly lock the subscription, so preserve critical values before proceeding.
