Add a subsite through Network Admin when you already operate a supported WordPress Multisite network. This creates another site inside the same WordPress installation, with shared core, plugins and themes but its own content and site settings.

01 Confirm the network and hosting requirements
Use a Super Admin account and check that the network is healthy before adding sites. Confirm the hosting arrangement supports the intended network and its resource needs. A Multisite subsite is not automatically a separate hosting account or an extra independent NabWP installation. Subdomain-based networks also need the appropriate DNS and web-server routing.
02 Create the subsite
- Open My Sites > Network Admin > Sites and choose the option to add a site.
- Enter an available address consistent with the network's subdomain or subdirectory structure.
- Set the site title, language and approved administrator email.
- Create the site and record its address and site ID for operational reference.
- Open its dashboard, choose an enabled theme and configure its own reading, discussion and permalink settings as needed.
Will the new site copy another site's content?
Core site creation is not a complete clone of an existing subsite. Plan content import, design setup and plugin-specific configuration separately. Do not assume a network-activated plugin has already been configured correctly for the new site, especially when it connects to payment, mail or other external services.
What if the address does not load?
Check DNS, HTTPS, the network's routing configuration and whether the chosen path conflicts with an existing page. Confirm you used the network's intended address type. Avoid changing the whole network between subdomains and subdirectories to fix one missing site; that is a separate migration affecting every subsite.
03 Complete the acceptance checks
Verify login, public pages, uploads and the assigned user's permissions. If the site is not ready for publication, apply appropriate access protection and search visibility settings. Add it to the network's backup and monitoring inventory and confirm any separate domain renewals. Before deleting a failed setup, check whether it already contains content or users that must be retained. A documented site record makes future updates and support investigations much easier.
