Change your Plesk account password when it has been shared, reused or exposed, or as part of an access handover. This changes the panel account credential; separately managed mailbox, database and subscription system-user passwords need their own review.

Prepare for the change
Confirm that you can access the recovery email for this account. Choose a unique password and save it in a password manager. If your login uses an external identity provider, its password is managed by that identity provider rather than this Plesk form.
01 Change your Plesk customer-account password
- Sign in through your verified Plesk HTTPS address.
- Open your account profile, commonly Account > My Profile or the profile menu beside your username. Find the password-change fields.
- Enter a new strong password and confirmation, or use the available generator and save the generated value securely. Complete any current-password check requested by the form.
- Save the change and read the confirmation. Update authorized password-manager entries and any approved automation that explicitly uses this panel account.
- Test a new login in a separate private browser window before closing the working session. Retain access to the recovery email while testing.
How do I test the new Plesk account password?
Confirm the new password signs in to the intended customer account. Check whether another person needs a separate additional-user account instead of receiving your new owner password.
If the change does not work
If the password is rejected by policy, adjust it to the requirements displayed rather than weakening unrelated account security. If you lose access, use the authorized reset workflow. For suspected compromise, also review additional users, API credentials, files and relevant service credentials. A password change alone does not remove malicious website code or revoke every separate access method.
