Google Workspace provides business email and collaboration through the edition purchased from us. Establish your organisation, verify the domain and create users before changing where incoming mail is delivered. The public product name is Google Workspace, even if an older menu uses the word Workplace.

01 Prepare the organisation
Have the activation information from your order, a list of users and administrator access to the domain's DNS. Choose a business-controlled recovery method for the administrator. If mail already exists elsewhere, plan a migration and do not cancel that service before the destination is working.
- Follow the supplied activation process and enter the intended Google Admin console. Confirm the organisation and subscription before accepting or creating additional accounts.
- Add and verify the business domain with the unique verification record provided by Google. Publish it at the authoritative DNS host. A domain's registrar and DNS host may be different companies.
- Create users and assign the required licenses. Decide separately which addresses should be aliases or Google Groups rather than purchasing or deleting mailboxes blindly.
- Review access and sharing policies for the enabled applications. Configure the organisation's timezone, recovery settings and administrator security.
- When users and migration arrangements are ready, publish the MX configuration shown by the Google Admin setup flow. Preserve website DNS records and unrelated verification entries.
- Configure and verify email authentication. Test a message to an external address, its reply, a group address and an application-generated message such as a website enquiry.
02 Check applications and storage
Open the applications included in the purchased edition and confirm users can access what they need. Storage allocation, meeting features and advanced security controls depend on the subscription. Avoid treating a general Google product page as the specification of your exact order.
What should I check when Google Workspace activation is incomplete?
A failed domain check commonly requires reviewing the record's name, value and authoritative provider. A user who cannot sign in may lack a license, be suspended or be subject to an organisation policy. Mail arriving at the old provider suggests old MX records or cached routing still need attention.
Keep the old email system available for the agreed transition period and perform a final migration check. DNS verification and MX changes do not copy existing messages, contacts or calendars by themselves.
