Scheduling and reviewing a Zoho Mail message before it sends

email

Use Zoho Mail's Send Later option when a prepared message should leave at a chosen time. Scheduling is helpful for agreed working hours, but it does not guarantee arrival in the recipient's inbox at that exact minute.

01 Schedule a message

  1. Compose the email and check its recipients, From address, attachments and links.
  2. Choose Send Later rather than the immediate Send action.
  3. Select the required date and time and check the time zone shown. Review any recurring schedule separately from a one-time send.
  4. Save the schedule and inspect the message in the Outbox or scheduled-message view.
  5. For your first use, schedule a harmless test a short time ahead and verify that it moves into Sent and reaches the destination.

02 Change or cancel

Open the scheduled message before its send time and use the schedule controls to stop or adjust it. Stopping a schedule can return the item to drafts. Check the message's actual state before creating a replacement, otherwise both copies may be sent.

03 Use recurring mail carefully

Give recurring messages an owner and a review date. Repeatedly sending an obsolete price, unavailable contact or expired attachment can confuse customers. Use a suitable campaign service for subscribed marketing lists rather than treating mailbox scheduling as a bulk-mail system.

04 Example: schedule one reviewed Zoho message for business hours

A customer update is ready in the evening, but you want it sent during the next working morning. Compose the message first and verify its recipients, selected From address and final attachment.

  1. Choose Send Later.
  2. Select the intended date and 09:00 in the timezone displayed by the account.
  3. Confirm that this is a one-time schedule.
  4. Save and inspect the message in the Outbox or scheduled-message view.
  5. If the attachment changes before delivery, stop or edit the existing schedule and confirm its state before creating any replacement.

Expected result: one reviewed message is scheduled for the intended time. Afterward, confirm it enters Sent and check delivery if the customer does not receive it; a scheduled time is not an inbox-arrival guarantee.

What should I check if a scheduled Zoho message does not arrive?

Check whether it remains scheduled, became a draft, entered Sent or generated a delivery failure. Confirm the account is active and allowed to send. A message in Sent still requires delivery investigation if the recipient cannot find it.

When contacting support, give the scheduled time with its time zone, actual send status and destination. Do not resend automatically until you know whether the first copy was accepted. For time-critical notices, arrange an acknowledgement and a fallback contact instead of relying solely on a scheduled email.
