Create a recurring OX appointment for a real repeating schedule, such as a weekly staff meeting. Give the series a sensible end or review date so obsolete invitations do not continue indefinitely.
01 Set the recurrence
- Create or open the appointment as its authorised organiser.
- Enable Repeat in the editing window and open the displayed recurrence value.
- Choose the interval and relevant weekdays or monthly pattern.
- Set the end condition, such as a date or number of occurrences, and apply it.
- Save the appointment and inspect several occurrences, including one near a month boundary or daylight-saving change where relevant.
02 Change one occurrence carefully
When moving or cancelling a single meeting, read the scope offered by the confirmation. Decide whether the change applies only to that occurrence or to the series. Review the next unaffected occurrence after saving.
Common questions
Is every month on the 15th the same as the third Monday?
No. One follows a calendar date and the other follows a weekday pattern. Choose the business rule explicitly and inspect future dates.
Why did many meetings move?
The edit may have been applied to the series. Stop further edits, record the intended schedule and inspect the available correction with the organiser.
Can an imported series be treated as the original meeting?
Not automatically. Import can alter participants and ownership. Verify the original organiser's plan before sending updates to a copied series.
Tell participants when the pattern changes and confirm that their calendars show the update. For a series spanning different countries, verify both local times around seasonal clock changes. A fixed local meeting time can correspond to different UTC times during the year.
