Use OX's spam controls to report unwanted mail and correct legitimate messages that were classified incorrectly. Examine a message safely before marking it trusted, especially when it requests a payment, password or urgent action.

01 Report or recover a message
- In Mail, select the unwanted message and use Mark as spam. It moves into the spam area.
- For a legitimate message placed there incorrectly, open Spam and select the message.
- Verify the actual sender and expected content without opening suspicious attachments or signing in through message links.
- Use Not spam to move the legitimate message back to Inbox.
- Ask the sender for a small new test and review the outcome.
02 Look for the cause
A familiar display name is not enough to establish authenticity. Compare the sender address and reply destination with a known record. If a trusted supplier suddenly asks to change bank details, verify through a previously established contact route.
Common questions
Does Not spam guarantee every future message will arrive?
No. Classification can depend on the message, sender authentication and other controls. If legitimate mail repeatedly fails, collect the original message and timestamps for investigation.
Should I allow an entire domain?
Use the narrowest exception that meets an approved need. Broad trust can admit unrelated or compromised senders from the same domain.
What if the message never reached Spam?
It may have been rejected earlier, sent to another address or filtered by a separate service such as SpamExperts. Check the actual delivery path instead of changing unrelated mailbox rules.
For a phishing message, report it through the organisation's process and keep enough evidence for investigation. Do not reply to confirm whether the sender is genuine.
