Correcting timezone and reminder settings in OX Calendar

email

Check OX's account time zone and the appointment's own zone when meeting times look wrong. The displayed local time can differ correctly between participants in different countries.

01 Set the working view

  1. Open Settings > All settings > General and review Language and timezone.
  2. Choose the correct geographic time zone for your working location and check the date and time format.
  3. In Calendar, use Day, Work week or Week view.
  4. Open the calendar's time-zone control and add useful zones to favourites, then display them alongside your default zone.
  5. Create a harmless test appointment and compare its time with a colleague in the other location.

02 Check an individual event

Open the appointment details and inspect the time zone associated with its start and end. Travel events can legitimately have different start and end zones. Verify the actual date as well as the hour, especially for meetings around midnight.

03 Set or change an appointment reminder

When editing an appointment, select the current value under Reminder. Choose the reminder type, timing and whether it is measured before the appointment starts. Use Add new Reminder if another reminder is needed, then choose Apply and save the appointment. For example, a reminder 15 minutes before a 10:00 meeting should occur at 09:45 in that event's time context.

If you do not have full editing permission, OX can instead provide More actions > Change reminders for your own reminder. For a series, inspect whether it affects the selected occurrence or that occurrence and future ones. Test the expected notification rather than assuming every participant shares your settings.

Common questions

Does changing my display zone move the real meeting?

A display-zone change affects how a time is presented. Editing an appointment's scheduled time is a separate action. Inspect the event before sending an unnecessary update.

Why is there a one-hour change later in the year?

Locations can follow different daylight-saving schedules. Use geographic zones rather than assuming the same UTC offset applies year-round.

What should I include in a support request?

Provide the event date, expected local time, displayed local time, account zone and event zone. Include a comparison from another participant if available.

For a recurring international meeting, check occurrences on both sides of seasonal changes. State the reference location clearly in the invitation when the business intends to preserve that location's working time.
